On March 25, 2026, the College of Natural Sciences had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the University of North-West (South Africa) as part of their visit and working trip to Can Tho University. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Health Sciences. The delegation from the partner institution included:

• Dr. Stuart John Piketh, Director, School for GEO and Spatial Sciences
• Shermice Soobramoney, Director, Strategic Global Partnerships.

During the meeting, both sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in scientific research, fully funded master's and doctoral scholarships, student exchange programs, and short-term work programs for faculty members. In the coming period, both sides will continue their exchanges and work toward the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), which will serve as the basis for implementing the agreed-upon activities.
