As part of the College of Natural Sciences' efforts to promote international cooperation and strengthen students' research capacity, a group of students from the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Physics (Cohorts 49 and 50) participated in a short-term academic exchange program at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan, from July 12 to July 18, 2026.

During the program, students had the opportunity to study in NYCU's modern research environment and gain exposure to advanced materials technology through a series of specialized lectures. They also visited and learned at several leading research institutions including the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC), the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and NYCU's state-of-the-art laboratory system.

In addition to the academic experience, the program helped students develop essential professional competencies including teamwork, research communication, and presentation skills in English. The exchange concluded with student presentations summarizing their learning outcomes and experiences providing an opportunity to reflect on the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program.
