On 10 October 2026, the College of Natural Sciences had the honour of welcoming a delegation from Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan, for a visit and meeting. The meeting was attended by Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tien and Assoc. Prof. Tran Thanh Men, Vice Deans of the College, together with lecturers, undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Departments of Physics and Chemistry.
The MCUT delegation included:
- Prof. Dr. Chi-Hsien Huang – Director of the Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies; Director of the International PhD Programme in Plasma and Thin Film Technologies
- Prof. Dr. Ting-Yu Liu – Head of the Department of Materials Engineering
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tsung-Yu Huang – Head of Industrial Services and Projects, Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies
- Dr. Ching-Wei Tung – Department of Materials Engineering
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phuoc Huu Le – Center for Plasma and Thin Film Technologies
During the meeting, the delegation introduced scholarship opportunities for master’s and doctoral studies, student and credit exchange programmes, and short-term working opportunities at MCUT for lecturers from the College of Natural Sciences. The meeting took place in an open and cordial atmosphere laying the foundation for stronger cooperation between the two institutions. In the coming time, both sides will continue discussions and implement collaborative activities in education and scientific research.
