On September 23, 2026, the College of Natural Sciences was pleased to welcome a delegation from National Central University (Taiwan) for a visit and discussions on academic cooperation.
Representing the college were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Men, Vice Rector, and representatives from the Faculties of Mathematics, Biology, and Health Sciences. The visiting delegation included:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hui-Yin Chang, Director of International Cooperation, Department of Biomedical Sciences and Engineering;
- Prof. Dr. Shang-Yuan Shiu, Department of Mathematics.
During the meeting, the two sides explored opportunities for cooperation in mathematics, biology, and health sciences focusing on scientific research, full scholarships for master’s and doctoral studies, student exchanges, and short-term visits for faculty members. The discussions opened up prospects for strengthening academic ties and expanding learning and research opportunities for faculty and students at both institutions.
On this occasion, six students from the College of Natural Sciences who had recently completed an exchange program at National Central University shared their firsthand experiences of studying and engaging with the academic environment in Taiwan. Their reflections highlighted the value of student exchanges and encouraged fellow students to explore and participate in international study opportunities.
