On November 05, 2025, the College of Natural Sciences was honored to welcome Prof. Wu-Ching Chou (Department of Electrophysics, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan) during his visit and working session with Department of Physics. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tien, Vice Dean, along with representatives from Department of Physics.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed plans to jointly organize a short course (2–3 days) about a comprehensive introduction to semiconductor chip manufacturing expected to be held at Can Tho University in 2026. The program is expected to feature lectures by Prof. Wu-Ching Chou and international experts in the field of semiconductors. In the coming period, both sides will continue to discuss and finalize the content and necessary procedures for organizing the course.

On this occasion, the representative of Department of Physics presented the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in September 2025 between Department of Physics and Department of Electrophysics. This MoU lays the foundation for strengthening academic collaboration between the two sides, including: short-term staff visiting programs, student exchange programs, joint research projects, organizing conferences, and other forms of cooperation in education and research.
