On October 8, 2025, College of Natural Sciences was honored to welcome professors from National Central University (NCU, Taiwan) during the visit and working session at Can Tho University aiming to promote collaboration in education and scientific research.
In the morning session, the NCU delegation conducted interviews with candidates from Can Tho University who wished to study for their Master's and Doctoral degrees at NCU. In the afternoon, the professors:
- Prof. Dr. Hui-Ying Chang, Director of Division of International Cooperation & Student Recruitment; Department of Biomedical Sciences Engineering
- Prof. Dr. Shang-Yuan Shiu, Department of Mathematics
- Prof. Dr. Kun-Yu Lai, Department of Optics and Photonics
had working sessions with lecturers, undergraduate and graduate students from the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Health Sciences.
During these sessions, both sides introduced an overview of their academic programs and research orientications, presented academic talks and discussed potential cooperations in education and research. The professors also introduced NCU’s postgraduate scholarship and student exchange programs. In the coming time, both sides will continue discussions toward signing Memorandum of Understandings as a foundation for implementing specific collaborative activities in education and scientific research.
