On June 30, 2025, the College of Natural Sciences was honored to welcome Prof. Truong Trung Tuyen (Department of Mathematics, University of Oslo, Norway) during his visit and collaboration with the Department of Mathematics. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Tai, Vice Dean of the College, together with faculty members, undergraduate students, and graduate students of the department.

         During the session, Prof. Tuyen introduced scholarship opportunities for master’s and doctoral programs in Norway in general, and at the University of Oslo in particular. He also delivered an academic presentation on algorithms in optimization and machine learning. Concluding the session, Prof. Tuyen presented his research group’s result about NUV Optimization (https://nuvoptimization.com/) – an online platform offering algorithms for solving optimization problems, systems of equations, and nonlinear inequalities.

         The meeting opened up promising opportunities for research collaboration between Prof. Tuyen and the Department of Mathematics, while also providing students and graduate students with valuable insights into study and research opportunities in Norway.
