From March 26/3/2023 to 01/4/2023, College of Natural Sciences is honored to welcome Prof. Dirk Springael, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Leuven, Belgium (https://www.kuleuven.be/).
During his stay at the college, Prof. Dirk Springael has engaged in the following academic activities:
- Presenting a talk about "Culture-independent methods to study microbial adaption towards pesticide biodegradation". The meeting had the attendance of lecturers, undergraduate and graduate students in Biology, Biotechnology, Soil Science, and Environmental Science;
- Participating in the collection of sludge samples in industrial, agricultural, and aquaculture wastewater for scientific research;
- Instructing PhD students on how to extract HMW DNA and LR-PCR to study the adaptation of bacteria under human influence.
