On April 4, 2025, the College of Natural Sciences had the honor of welcoming representatives from Sakata Inx (Japan) for a visit to explore potential cooperation in training and human resource development.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Thanh Mến - Vice Dean, and representative of the Chemistry Department. On the side of Sakata Inx and its partners, the delegation included:

  • Mrs Shigemi Kanazawa – Executive Director, General Director of Corporate Relations
  • Mr Motoki Yano – General Director of Human Resources and General Affairs
  • Mr Show Asano – General Director of J-Test Vietnam
  • Mr Mituo Ogawa – General Director of Craig Consulting
  • Mr Nguyễn Tất Thành – Head of Southern Sales Department, Hai Phong Group

Sakata Inx is a leading Japanese corporation with a long-standing history since its founding in 1896. The company specializes in the production of high-quality printing inks serving various industrial sectors, including flexographic and water-based inks, offset inks for packaging and commercial applications, metal decorative inks, water-based varnishes, and other industrial coating products.

This current visit is part of the company’s long-term strategy to seek and develop young, high-quality human resources in the field of chemistry - particularly from reputable educational universities in Vietnam.

During the working session, both sides discussed internship and recruitment programs for chemistry students. It is expected that third- and final-year students will have the opportunity to participate in an 8-week internship program in Japan, with full sponsorship of airfare and accommodation costs. After the internship period, students may be offered the chance to continue working at the company, provided they express interest and meet professional and language requirements.

In addition, the two sides also discussed the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focusing on cooperation in training, internships, and recruitment of students. Further details will be discussed and finalized in the near future. At the end of the working session, the delegation visited the facilities and laboratories of the Department of Chemistry.
