From March 2–4, 2026, the College of Natural Sciences had the honor of welcoming Prof. Daniel Lamberth Holland (Department of Physics, Illinois State University, USA) for a visit and working sessions under the Fulbright Scholar Program. The discussions were attended by Prof. Nguyen Thanh Tien, Vice Dean together with faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students from Department of Physics and Department of Chemistry.
During the visit, Prof. Holland delivered an overview of the Fulbright Program and introduced scholarship opportunities as well as academic and research programs at the University of Illinois. In addition, he presented several public and specialized lectures in the field of physics. On this occasion, the two sides also discussed potential collaborations in teaching and research between College of Natural Sciences and Illinois State University. In the coming time, both sides will continue discussions and gradually implement the cooperation initiatives that were proposed.
