From December 17 to December 20, 2024, a delegation of the college visited and worked with Faculty of Applied Science, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand.

The visit not only provided an opportunity for students to explore advanced training and research models within the Southeast Asian region but also paved the way for future collaborations in education and scientific research between College of Natural Sciences at Can Tho University and Faculty of Applied Science at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok.

The delegation included Dr. Nguyen Duy Cuong (International Cooperation Assistant) along with seven students: Le Huynh Trung Kien (Applied Mathematics), Nguyen Thi Thanh Ngan (Statistics), Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (Statistics), Do Ly Ngoc Dung (Medicinal Chemistry), Phan Huu Nghia (Medicinal Chemistry), Nguyen Thi Hang Nga (Medicinal Chemistry), and Phan Trong Phuc (Chemistry).

Representing the Faculty of Applied Science, the meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pianpool Kamonjitprapha (Dean), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyachat Leelasilpasart (International Cooperation Assistant), and representatives from Departments of Mathematics, Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Physics and Medical Instrumentation.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed directions for collaboration, including scientific research, student exchanges, short-term visit programs for lecturers, scholarships for master's and doctoral programs, the organization of conferences/seminars, and matters related to the upcoming memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two sides. Additionally, the delegation toured the facilities and engaged in discussions with students, graduate students, and lecturers of the Faculty of Applied Science.

In the future, both sides will continue their discussions and take the necessary steps to realize the proposed collaborative activities.
