On July 2, 2026, the College of Natural Sciences had the honor of welcoming Dr. Diep The Tai from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thanh Men - Vice Rector, together with faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students from the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry, and Health Sciences.
During the visit, Dr. Diep delivered two presentations entitled “Embed, Detect, and Defend: 3D Printing, Bacteriophages, and Essential Oils in Combating Antimicrobial Resistance through the One Health Approach” and “Science Without Borders: Conducting Research with Zero Funding”. The presentations provided fresh perspectives on interdisciplinary research, innovation, and opportunities for scientific development in a global context. In addition, Dr. Diep introduced fully funded master's and doctoral scholarship opportunities at the University of Surrey, opening up valuable prospects for study and research for students and graduate students of the College.
